Clifford Palmer

I started jujutsu 7 months ago shortly after I immigrated to Canada from Jamaica. Prior to this, I had never done any other form of martial arts. I think it’s a great honour to be named student of the month, especially considering that jujutsu is so new to me. I intend to keep training as hard as I can and for as long as I have breath. Sensei Vu is an amazing teacher. He constantly motivates and challenges his students to keep learning and to become stronger and more self-aware.
Participating in jujutsu has motivated me a lot, both physically and mentally and made me stronger in many aspects of my life. Being a professional limbo dancer for the past 10 years, I have found that jujutsu has helped me to become even more flexible. Sensei Vu and the students in the dojo have become like family to me. They support me on an ongoing basis, in jujutsu and in understanding Canadian culture. In short, jujutsu has found a special place in my heart. Thanks to my Senpei and “practically brother-in law”, Steve Price, for introducing me to this great art.
